Access platforms and step overs for JDR Cables

We were asked to design and manufacture a number of access platforms and step overs for JDR Cables' new cable manufacturing facility in Northumberland. A number of walkways were obstructed by pipework and some machines were difficult to access, so new access platforms and step overs were needed in several areas.

We carried out site surveys and worked closely with JDR engineers to agree designs that worked within the existing layout. Once the designs were signed off our inhouse detailing team produced full fabrication drawings to take the project through to manufacture.

All steelwork was then fabricated by our skilled in house team at our fabrication workshop before being sent to a local powder coating company for finishing. Once complete the platforms and step overs were delivered to site and installed by our site team, providing safe and practical access solutions across the facility.
